Bell Pottinger North was established in 2006 [1] a subsidiary of Bell Pottinger Communications one of the largest public relations companies in the United Kingdom. The North division has offices in Manchester, Leeds and Liverpool. [2]
Clients
- Liverpool Primary Care Trust (PCT), in 2007 bell Pottinger North won a contract from to help promote the Trust’s public health campaigns, an alcohol awareness campaign ‘Pssst!’, ‘Liverpool Active City’, ‘A Taste for Health’ (tackling obesity) and ‘Roy Castle Fag Ends’ were all under way when the appointment was made. Commenting on the Bell Pottinger North's role Gideon Ben-Tovim, chair of Liverpool Primary Care Trust said: "Next month we are launching our three-year Alcohol Harm Reduction Strategy in an effort to tackle the problems of alcohol in the city. Further initiatives are planned across all of our public health campaigns to address issues about obesity and smoking related illness. We are determined to improve the quality of people’s lives.” [3]
