Rhodri Harries is Senior Vice President, Commercial, Energy, and Carbon Products at Rio Tinto Alcan since February 2009. He was previously the Chief Financial Officer of RTA’s aluminium smeltingoperations, RTA Primary Metal. From 2004 to 2007 (prior to the merger of Alcan and Rio Tinto) he was Vice President Finance and Treasurer of Alcan. Before joining Alcan he had a 15 year career with [General Motors]] Corporation, and was a senior executive[1].
He is a British and Canadian citizen, and holds a chemical engineering degree from Queen’s University, Ontario, and an MBA from McMaster University, Ontario[2].
