Iyad Allawi
Habbush letter
In December 2003, Allawi visited CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia.[1] That same month, Allawi was cited by journalist Con Coughlin supporting the authenticity of a document which claimed that Saddam Hussein had been in contact with Al Qaeda.[2] Journalist Ron Suskind would later claim that the forgery was instigated by CIA at the behest of the White House.[3]
