Jamie Macintosh
Dr. J.P. MacIntosh has been the Head of the Advanced Research and Assessment Group (ARAG) since April 2007. Before being appointed the Head of the ARAG, MacIntosh spent over a year as the Home Secretary's personal advisor on Transformation and National Security. The Research Information and Communication Unit (RICU), and the Office of Security and Counter Terrorism (OSCT) were established due to his advice. In addition to working at cabinet level in the UK, MacIntosh has also worked for other countries, advising on defense, development and security issues. MacIntosh has also co-authored the concept for "Resilience to Crises," as well as the white paper that led to the establishment of the Civil Contingency Secretariat (CCS) at the direction of the Prime Minister in 2001.
