"The purpose of the SISG is to promote the development of policy-orientated studies of intelligence and security services whilst drawing on the comparative and historical tradition. SISG is a specialist group of the UK Political Studies Association." [1]
The US-based Consortium for the Study of Intelligence states that it acted as a catalyst for the creation of the SISG. [2] The consortium is itself a project of the National Strategy Information Center a Neoconservative think tank with intelligence links associated in particular with Roy Godson.
