Kate Nealon

Kate Nealon is a US qualified lawyer with extensive international experience. She was appointed Non-executive Director of the Halifax Bank of Scotland in March 2004[1]. Nealon was born in 1953 and was a graduate of Georgetown University in Washington DC. She has held senior positions in both the US and the UK, focussing on material legal, governance and regulatory issues[2]. She practised international banking law in New York for many years, as well as being a partner at the California based law firm of Morrison and Foerster[3]. Until the end of 2005, Nelson was the Group Head of Legal and Compliance for Standard Chartered Plc. She has spoken and written extensively on Corporate Governance and Business Ethics.
