Russell Brown

Russell Brown was the Labour Party MP for Dumfries and Galloway from 2005 to 2015. He was previously MP for Dumfries from 1997 to 2005. He was a shadow defence minister in 2010-11 and was re-appointed to the same position in 2013.[1]
Brown, a former Labour frontbencher lost his constituency seat in the 2015 general election in May, losing to the Scottish National Party MP Richard Arkless. Brown's previous result in 2010 of a majority of 23,950 fell to just 13,982 votes in the 2015 election. [2]
