Tessa Munt has been the UK Liberal Democrat MP for Wells since 2010,[1] winning the seat from David Heathcoat-Amory with a majority of 880 votes. <ref>
In January 2015 she resigned as parliamentary private secretary (PPS) to the UK business secretary Vince Cable after she voted for a Commons amendment voted for a Commons amendment calling for a moratorium on fracking in the UK, which was not supported by the government.
