Hayden Allan is a Conservative Party veteran, he worked at the central office in opposition where he was deputy head of press. [1] Allan worked at the Conservative Headquarters after the 2010 election to keep the party's press operation ticking over. He then moved to the Ministry of Defence on 2 August that same year. [2]
Former defence secretary Philip Hammond took his special advisers Graham Hook and Allan to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, following his replacement of William Hague in July 2014. [3]
