General Brent Scowcroft is the president and founder of The Scowcroft Group and is one of America’s leading international policy experts.
He was educated at the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he received his undergraduate degree and his commission to the Army Air Forces. He has also gained a M.A. and a Ph.D. in international relations from Columbia University.
Brent Scowcroft’s military career spanned 29 years. From its beginnings at West Point, his career included posts such as: Professor of Russian history at West Point; head of the Political Science Department at the Air Force Academy; Office of the Secretary of Defence International Security Assistance; Special Assistant to the Director of the Joint Chiefs of Staff; and also as Military assistant to President Nixon.
From 1982 to 1989 he was the Vice Chairman of Kissinger Associates Inc., in which he advised and assisted a wide range of global corporate leaders on global joint ventures, strategic planning and risk assessment.
He was also served as National Security Adviser to President Gerald Ford and President George H.W. Bush.[1]
