Revision as of 09:07, 6 October 2007
To make a page just do this: Salt Manufacturers Association or go to the last page you were editing: British Nutrition Foundation and in the address bar delete the bit of the URL with the name 'British_Nutrition_Foundation' and type in the name of a new page. You don't even need to insert the ____ (underscores) as these will be automatically inserted in any space in the title.

Hi, Mary,
I have made the ILSI notes into 'external links' as they are not properly intergrated into the notes section. Maybe you could look at that?
Also I see you have got the hang of the footnotes using ^. But you also need to use the format for the reference in the text which is [1] (look at this in edit mode to see the formatting). --David 15:51, 20 Aug 2007 (BST) Hi Mary,
Good work on the BRC. Some tips:
- Can you go to your user page and enter a brief biog?:
http://www.spinprofiles.org/index.php?title=User:Mary_Spowart&action=edit
- Can you ensure that you put double square brackets round all names and organisations using the 'AB' tab (third from left at top)
- Can you make sure you reference all assertions?
- Referencing format: See: http://www.spinprofiles.org/index.php/Help:Contents#Referencing and http://www.spinprofiles.org/index.php/A_Guide_to_Referencing
- If you search on British Retail consurtium on spinprofiles you will find a number of organisations of which it is a member, or which are members of BRC and maybe PR firms etc. Can you list them under a heading ==Affiliations== and put square brackets round them too?
Let me know if you have any queries. thanks

Sorry, I should have explained that a little better. To make a link highlight the word or p[hrase with the mous and click on the 'AB' icon. this will turn a plain old word like 'Monsanto' into a link to the page titled 'Monsanto'.

To go to your biog page: http://www.spinprofiles.org/index.php?title=User:Mary_Spowart&action=edit then add a biog and save To go to my talk page http://www.spinprofiles.org/index.php/User_talk:David and click edit and leave e a message:
If you check the 'REcent changes page' (in menu at left in top box) you will see all recent changes and you can click on the user or talk page for anyopne there and leave messages or see who they are.
Also have a wee look at 'special pages' which will give you various useful info.
Lastly have a look at the BRC page in edit mode and you will see what I have done to the footnte formatting...
