Wilkinson was one of the co-founders of Friends of the Earth and Greenpeace UK who now runs his own consultancy called Wilkinson Environmental Consultancy. He was involved in BNFL's National Stakeholder Dialogue. Wilkinson also advised the DTI on its stakeholder engagement programme as part of the establishment of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority. Member of the Committee on Radioactive Waste Management (CoRWM)[1].
