On Simon Tisdall it might be worth adding your email to him inn full so readers can judge for themselves if it was insulting? You could put it on a separate page titled something like Simon Tisdall: Email from Paul de Rooij and the date?

I am not sure if Tisdall's email is contributing anything towards highlighting his bias. I think an incriminating quote in itself goes a long way. Secondly, I also think the rebuttals are unnecessary. Incorporate them into the description. e.g. 'He has reffered to the democratically elected Sandanista government which overthrew the Somoza dictatorship as a 'rogue state'".
