John Harvey Dover (born 1939, Kelvingrove) is a Glasgow based Chartered Accountant, business man and Zionist activist. He is associated with a number of Zionist charities which in 2023-24 have donated to a variety of Zionist groups including Beit Halochem UK and UK Friends of AWIS - both of which send funds directly to the IDF In addition they also donated to British Friends of Hebrew University, Community Security Trust and Western WIZO.
As chairman of Cosgrove Care, Dover announced a joint initiative with UJIA to take advantage of tax changes that made it easier to leave legacies to charity. He emphasised the heavy reliance of the charity on gifts.[1] [2] Seperately, he expressed his gratitude to David Walton and Carole Walton for their gifts, saying 'I have personally known Carole and David for many years and am always touched by their unwavering financial and other support'.[3]
