Lee Cain is a former Fleet Street journalist who was appointed head of political press in Number 10 Downing Street in August 2017 and special adviser to the foreign secretary in November 2017.
Cain is also a former special adviser to UK environment secretary Michael Gove and his predecessor Andrea Leadsom at Defra.
