Vice admiral Peter Hudson served as NATO Commander Allied Maritime from February 2013 to October 2015. [1]

In August 2016, Hudson was given permission from the advisory committee on business appointments (ACOBA) to set up an independent consultancy. The consultancy's focus is on the 'future operational landscape and potential crises as well as highlighting capability shortfalls across Europe', making make use of Hudson's 'strategic understanding of the international community'.
