Alison Thewliss has been the Scottish National Party Member of Parliament for Glasgow Central since May 2015. [1]
Thewliss defeated the Labour Party candidate Anas Sarwar, who had held the seat since 2010 [2], with a majority of 7,662. [3]
Thewliss has served as a Glasgow councillor for the Calton Ward in the East End since 2007, and was re-elected in 2012. [4]
