Richard Harrington is the Conservative Party MP for the Watford Constituency[1]. He is also chairman of both the Conservative Friends of Israel and the Number 10 Club[2].
In the 2015 general election, Harrington was re-elected with a majority of 9,794. [3]
On the 14 September 2015, he was appointed Parliamentary Under-Secretary jointly to the Home Office, the Department for Communities and Local Government and the Department for International Development. He is responsible for co-ordinating work to resettle up to 20,000 Syrian refugees, advising the Home Secretary, Communities Secretary and the Prime Minister.[4]
