Jackie Doyle-Price is the Conservative Party MP for Thurrock. In May 2010 she gained a majority of 92 votes resulting in a Conservative gain from Labour with a 6.6 per cent swing in the election results. [1]
In June 2010 she was also appointed a member of the public accounts committee of the House of Commons.
In the 2015 general election, Price only marginally retained her seat gaining 34 per cent of the vote and a majority of just 536 over her closest rival Labour Party candidate Polly Billington. [2]
On the 13 May 2015, she was appointed as Assistant Whip to HM Treasury.[3]

Background
Price worked in a variety of roles before she was a member of parliament, including for the Sheffield Enterprise Agency, South Yorkshire Police, the City of London Corporation and the Financial Services Authority. [1]
She was also a senior advisor to the Lord Mayor of London for five years. [1] [4]
Education
Price was educated at the Notre Dame High School Sheffield and studied economics at The University of Durham. [1]
