Robert Kerslake, known as Bob Kerslake,was acting Head of the Home Civil Service until September 2014, having succeeded Sir Gus O'Donnell, the former Cabinet Secretary, at the end of 2011.[1]

He also served as Permanent Secretary to the Department for Communities and Local Government from September 2010 until February 2015.[2]

On the 19 March 2015, Kerslake was appointed as a Life Peer in the UK Parliament's House of Lords. [3]
