Mary Glindon is the Labour MP for North Tyneside. [1] She was elected in May 2010 with a majority of. 12,884 votes. [2]
In Parliament she also sits on both the environment, food and rural affairs and communities and local government select committees and is parliamentary private secretary to Mary Creagh, the shadow transport minister. [3]
Background
Prior to becoming an MP Glindon worked as an administrative officer, in the child support agency, at Longbenton. [3] She was also a North Tyneside councillor for 15 years, representing Battle Hill Ward. [3]
Glindon also worked as North Tyneside’s cabinet member for health and well-being and older person’s champion. [3]
