National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) provides national guidance and advice to improve health and social care. [1]
Since 1999 NICE has provided the NHS with an increasing range of advice on effective, good value healthcare, and have 'gained a reputation for rigor, independence and objectivity.' In April 2013 they gained further responsibilities which included providing guidance for those working in social care. [2]
