Patrick Diamond worked as a policy advisor for the Labour Party government of the United Kingdom in a role covering policy and strategy. Diamond worked in a number of government roles between 2000 and 2010, he worked in the Cabinet Office, the Northern Ireland Office, and the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) where he served as group director of strategy. He is currently a visiting fellow at Kellogg College, University of Oxford and an associate member of Nuffield College. He is also a local councillor in the London Borough of Southwark.

Not only this, but Diamond is a member of the advisory board of the Social Market Foundation, and sits on the Scientific Council of the Foundation for European Progressive Studies.
