Robert Davies is the chief executive of the nuclear company AREVA UK.
Background
Davies was appointed CEO of AREVA UK in December 2012. Previously, he was its 'Vice President of New Builds' AREVA UK for nine years. In the latter role he was 'responsible for the development and exploitation of UK's nuclear reactor market. This included 'business development (zero to £89M) industrial and client JVs/Alliances, bid director for major nuclear reactor new build projects (£10Bn+). [1]
Prior to this, as UK Marketing Director from 2000-2004 Davies was responsible for its Strategy and market entry of Frameome (then AREVA) into UK's waste and decommissioning markets. This role saw him secure for AREVA the 'Outage and Maintenance Alliance contract at Sizewell, and the British Energy Engineering and Technical Support Alliance contract.
Davies is also a past Commercial director at NDL (1997-2000).
