Servizio Informazioni Forze Armate (SIFAR), is a former Italian intelligence agency.[1] Its name translates in English as Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces.[2]
SIFAR was created on 20 March 1949 with the unification of the intelligence agencies of the three armed services.[3]
SIFAR was replaced by SID in November 1965.[4]
