The SIS Islamabad Station became the largest overseas base for the Secret Intelligence Service (better known as MI6) after the 9/11 attacks.[1]
1980s
MI6 officer Alistair Crooke was based in Islamabad in the 1980s, co-ordinating support for the Afghan Mujahedin.[2]
