Steven Harkins is a PhD candidate and tutor in journalism at the University of Sheffield. Formerly a researcher and tutor in Sociology at the School of School of Applied Social Science at the University of Strathclyde. He has been a researcher for Powerbase since 2008 and is currently working on the British International Studies Association’s ‘Teaching about Terrorism’ project. His writing can be found in ''Critical Studies on Terrorism'' and the ''British Medical Journal'', as well as occasional articles for the ''Spinwatch'' website.
