The Emergency Coalition Against Unilateral Disarmament was formed in February 1977 to oppose the nomination of Paul Warnke to head the US Arms Control and Disarmament Agency and lead Strategic Arms Limitation Treaty negotiations. It was based out of the Washington offices of the Coalition for a Democratic Majority.[1]
