Currently Mrs Adler is the Senior Public Affairs Advisor for Glevum Associates and a Senior Public Affairs Advisor for the Dornier Seaplane Company. Her expertise lies in strategic communications, public relations, crisis communications, international affairs, defence, marketing, government relations, lobbying and branding[1].
Background
Mrs Adler holds a Bachelor’s degree from Lafayette College and a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Chicago. Previously she has worked for a number of different employees, including Aerospace Industries Association which is a ‘trade association representing the nation’s major aerospace and defence manufacturers’ [2] where she lobbied on commercial and defence trade issues; a lobbying, public relations and communications firm Burson- Marsteller [3] (which is part of the WPP Group) whose clients include Altria (formerly Philip Morris), Blackwater USA, and Iraqi National Congress [4] ; Bell- Boeing V-22 where she was a director of business development ; a public relations agency Weber Shandwick Worldwide( owned by Interpublic) where she worked as a government relations arm and which clients include Coca-Cola, ExxonMobil, The Falkland Islands, General Motors and Monsanto, to name few; a lobbying and public relations group Cassidy and Associates (also owned by Interpublic); a lobbying company Burdeshaw Associates [5]; Development Alternatives International; DRS Technologies who supply products, services and support to military forces [6]; and the Lincoln Group [7] . Most recently she has worked as a Strategic Communications Advisor at Human Terrain System at US Department of Army TRADOC, in a program which ‘purpose is to improve brigade and commanders’ level of understanding of the highly complex local socio- cultural environment in areas where U.S. Army troops are deployed’ [8].
