Backgound
The Health4Schools programme is a Gloucestershire based project operating in a number of (?) primary schools within the region. The purpose of the project, according to the literature is to educate teachers and parents/guardians regarding their charges diets. This project is primarily funded by the MultiNational concern Kraft Foods.
For more than a hundred years Kraft has produced a huge selection of food and beverage products and supply these brands to 150 countries around the world.Many of these brands are well known household names from a huge portfolio of products including Kenco, Philadelphia, Dairylea and Terry's Chocolate Orange.
The company claims to be interested in a number of community based projects complemented by sponsorship and charitable programmes. The company also claims to be environmentally aware with emphasis on strong principles regarding the treatment of its suppliers and employees worldwide.
The company’s stock (NYSE: KFT) is listed on the S&P 100 as well as the Dow Jones and Ethibel Sustainability Indexes.
Kraft foods was previously regaistered as Kraft Jacobs Suchard (06/04/00) then General Foods until 06/01/1995 and is currently registered as Kraft Foods UK Limited.
