The National Wilderness Institute is a part of the anti-environmental movement.
SourceWatch reports that the the NWI works to challenge the Endangered Species Act (ESA) and undermine other wilderness protections. NWI activities have included a lawsuit filed against the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).[1]
The National Wilderness Institute has received $10,000 from ExxonMobil since 1998.[2]
