Ishtiaq Hussain is a team leader at the British Ministry of Justice.[1]
Hussain is a former recruiter for the international Islamist organisation Hizb-ut-Tahrir.[2]
Hussain was a manager at the London-based Quilliam Foundation think tank from September 2008 to November 2009.[1]
He was regional Prevent manager for East London at the Department for Communities and Local Government from December 2009 to March 2011.[1]
Following this he became a manager at the Department for Education from March 2011 to September 2015, initially as team manager of independent schools & inspections (2011-14), and later as 'team manager - complex analysis and casework' (2014-15).[1]
In September 2015, Hussain joined the Ministry of Justice as team leader of the 'independent review of extremism in prisons and probation service'.[1]
