Digital Promise is US not-for-profit initiative launched in 2011 to bring more technology to classrooms.
Founders
Digital Promise was launched by President Barack Obama and his education secretary Arne Duncan.
Funding for launch was supplied by:
- US Department for Education
- Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation
- William and Flora Hewlett Foundation
- Carnegie Corporation
Initial work was directed by TechAmerica Foundation, the nonprofit arm of a tech industry lobbying firm. Other tech trade associations, the Information Technology Industry Council and the Software and Information Industry Association, also advised.
