Neil Gray has been the Scottish National Party Member of Parliament (MP) for Airdrie and Shotts since May 2015.[1]
Gray won his seat in the 2015 general election after defeating the Labour Party's Pamela Nash, who had been the MP since 2010, by 8,779 votes.[2]
In October 2015, Gray took over the role of Shadow SNP Westminster Group Leader for Fair Work and Employment from Hannah Bardell, who moved on to a new brief. [3]

Career
Before his election victory in 2015, Gray had worked as a journalist for the BBC, a number of local newspapers and the SNP's press and research office in Holyrood.
In August 2008 he was employed by Alex Neil MSP in this constituency office and became his office manager in 2011.[4]
