Bronwyn Hill was appointed permanent secretary at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) in March 2011. [1]
Background
Hill previously worked as director general, major projects and London, at the Department for Transport. [2] She has worked tirelessly over the years to help improve transport in the UK, helping with projects such as crossrail. Due to these years of dedication, Hill was awarded the CBE for services to transport in 2001. [1]
