Andy Harrison is the chief executive of Whitbread plc.
Career
Harrison has business experience as the managing director of Courtaulds International Fabrics and finance director of Courtaulds Textiles plc and a non-executive directorship at British media company Emap plc, where he was chairman of the audit committee.
From 1996 to 2005 he was the chief executive of automotive services company RAC plc and from 2005 to 2010 he was chief executive of British airline easyJet plc.
In September 2010 he was appointed to board and as chief executive of hotel, coffee shop and restaurant company Whitbread plc - parent company of Costa Coffee and Premier Inn.[1]
In 2014, as a result of cashing in £2.6 million of his shares in the company, Harrisons wage rose 84 percent from £3.4 million to £6.4 million.[2]
Letter to the Telegraph
On 1 April 2015 Harrison was one of 103 business leaders who wrote to the Telegraph praising the British Conservative Party's economic policies and claiming a Labour government would 'threaten jobs and deter investment' in the UK.[3]
