Bob Russell was the Liberal Democrats member of Parliament (MP) for Colchester from 1997 to 2015.
Russell lost his seat in the 2015 general election to the Conservative Party's Will Quince by 5,575 votes.[1]
Parliamentary roles
He served as an opposition whip and a shadow defence minister from 2005 to 2010.[2]
