David Hunt (Lord Hunt of Wirral) was made a life peer in the House of Lords, he became a Conservative Party member in the Lords in October 1997. [1]

History

Hunt was a member of the Cabinet Office during the Margaret Thatcher and John Major administrations. She was also appointed to serve on the Privy Council in 1980.

He became Member of Parliament for Wirral after winning a by-election in 1976. The seat was broken up meaning that Hunt became the MP for the new Wirral West constituency in 1983.
