Lynne Featherstone is the Liberal Democrat MP for Hornsey and Wood Green. She was a parliamentary under-secretary at the Home Office from 2010 to 2012, and thereafter at the Department for International Development.[1]
Background
Lynne was elected to Haringey Council in 1998, a position she held until 2006. In 2000 she was elected to the London Assembly, where she chaired the Transport Committee and served on the Health and Standards Committees and the Metropolitan Police Authority. [2] She also served as the Liberal Democrats’ International Development spokesperson in 2006, before becoming their Youth and Equalities spokesperson in 2007. [2] Lynne also previously served as Home Office Minister for Equalities and Criminal Information. [2]
