Dinner with lobbyists
A seating plan of the Conservative Party's Black and White Ball, in February 2014, was leaked to the Guardian in October 2014. The party, which guests pay between £450 and £1000 for a ticket, seats diners with the minister most relevant to them. The report revealed that while Hopkins was Minister of State for Housing and Local Government he "sat with two of London’s top property executives, Bruce Ritchie, a business partner of the chef Marco Pierre White, and Paul Munford, an adviser to the Candy brothers, luxury property developers whose firms arrange purchases of “trophy” London homes for rich foreigners."[2]
