James Adams is a former journalist with the Sunday Times, well known for acting as a conduit for official and intelligence leaks.
He was involved in the controversy over the Sunday Times reporting of the killings in Gibraltar in March 1988.
After leaving the Sunday Times Adams became a consultant at the intelligence connected Control Risks Group. He seems to have been there between 1998 and 2001 [1], but possibly longer. In 2001 he published an article in the May/June issue of Foreign Affairs the journal of the Council on Foreign Relations in which he was desribed as Co-founder and Chairman of iDefense, a cyber-intelligence and risk-management firm, and serves on the National Security Agency Advisory Board.[2]
