In Government
In June 2007, Digby Jones was appointed Minister of State for Trade at the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform.[1] He was one of a number of non-party political figures given life peerages by Prime Minister Gordon Brown in order to serve in his “government of all the talents.” ref>[6]BBC News website, accessed 18 March 2010</ref>
