James Blount is a former British diplomat.
Blount worked for the Foreign Office for ten years, serving in Peru and Pakistan. He was later head of operations in Karachi for Hong Kong investment bank Jardine Fleming. In 1999 he joined Control Risks Group working on kidnap and extortion cases. He headed the company's office in Baghdad from 2003. [1]
