Dr Eberhard Schneider is a Professor of Political Science at the University of Siegen, a former Senior Researcher at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs of the “Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik,” Germany, and specialized in Russian and Ukrainian internal and external policy. He is accredited from the Russian State Department as a correspondent of the “EU Russia Review”, and he sits on the advisory board of EU-Russia Centre.[1]

Until 2006, Dr Eberhard Schneider was an analyst of the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP) in Berlin, focusing Russia’s internal policy. Before joining the SWP he was at the Federal Institute for Eastern and International Studies in Cologne. He has an over 40 years’ experience in analysing the former Soviet and now Russian internal policy within think tanks and as a consultant to the German government and parliament. Professor Schneider is author of several publications and a recognised Political Scientist for Russia and the East.[2]
