Pearlman was appointed a trustee of Friends of Yad Sarah UK on 16 February 2017. The other current trustees are S. D. Kibel, Adam Max Caplin (from 5 December 2019) and Alistair Jay Marks (from 31 March 2022).[1]
The trust (deed 6 November 1985; registered 16 July 1986) exists to raise funds for Yad Sarah in Israel. Yad Sarah’s own branch list has included equipment-lending points in Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank and occupied East Jerusalem as well as inside the Green Line.[3][4]

The Joseph and Sarah Pearlman Jewish Charitable Trust
Pearlman is one of four trustees of The Joseph and Sarah Pearlman Jewish Charitable Trust (232082). Co-trustees: Harold Hersh Pearlman, Meyer Pearlman and Dr Harold Austin Davis. The Commission card lists Friends of Yad Sarah as Pearlman’s only other recorded trusteeship.[2]
The trust deed is dated 4 December 1957; the charity was registered on 20 August 1964. Objects: advancement of religion, education or learning of the Orthodox Jewish faith; relief of poverty among members of the faith; or for the benefit of poor relations of Joseph and Sarah Pearlman (trustees and their wives excluded). The Commission activity line adds “or for the support of authorised Israeli institutions.” Area of operation outside the UK: Israel.[2][6]
