Karen Ward is a special adviser on economic affairs to chancellor of the exchequer Philip Hammond, appointed in October 2016. Ward was formerly HSBC's chief European economist for over a decade. [1] She also worked as an economist for the Bank of England. [2]

As of December 2016, she has an annual salary of £93,450. [3]
