The West Point Association of Graduates (WPAOG) is the Alumni Association for the United States Military Academy (USMA). WPAOG a non-profit, tax-exempt corporation. It is the sole private organization authorized, by a Memorandum of Agreement, to raise private funds on behalf of the United States Military Academy.[1]
History
WPAOG was founded in 1869 to reunite Academy graduates who found themselves on opposing sides during the American Civil War.[1]
Notable grants
- Lynde & Harry Bradley Foundation, 2011, to support the Combating Terrorism Center.[2]
