Victoria Murray has worked for Serco in the UK and Australia.[1]

Serco

Children & Family Services

Murray was Assistant Director for Serco at its UK Children & Family Services division from August 2007 to January 2010.

Yarl's Wood

Murray was "Assistant Director (Business Assurance)" for Serco at Yarl's Wood IRC during 2010. She was "responsible for providing solution focused responses and actions for managing Contract Compliance, Litigation, Investigations, Complaints, Health and Safety and Environmental Impact." She claims she "Established [a] method of collating evidence for potential legal challenges following incidents" and had a "Successful partnership working with DLA Piper law firm to refute legal challenges against Serco and Yarl’s Wood resulting in nil successful challenges against the organisation." Murray also shaped the strategic plan for Yarl’s Wood 2010 – 2013.

In 2011 she was deputy contract director for Serco at Yarl's Wood IRC.

Australia

During 2010 Murray was sent by Serco to Australia where she "visited and evaluated [the] practice in Australia of detention of families, visiting APODs and ITAs to present to project compass on return to the UK." She worked "in partnership with the Australian Federal Police and the Australian Department of Immigration and Border Protection Specialities".

HMP/YOI Ashfield

Murray was Deputy Contract Director for Serco at the troubled HMP/YOI Ashfield from January 2012 to August 2013. Ashfield was "one of the largest juvenile prisons in Europe holding young males aged between 15 and 18 years old".

She was an "Active member of the transition and transformation team responsible for the roll change at Ashfield, this included strategic operational management and people processes including mass redundancy consultations, selections and appeals for 200+ staff."

National Citizen Service

Since August 2013 Murray has been Regional operations director (South East) for Serco on the National Citizen Service youth programme.
