Former PVV parliamentarian Hero Brinkmann defected from Dutch politician Geert Wilders' anti-Islam political party in 2012. Upon leaving he confirmed press revelations made in 20122 that the Partij voor de Vrijheid (PVV)'s foundation receives large donations from American supporters, although declined to state how much or what the money was spent on.[1]
