Robert Walter was the Conservative Party Member of Parliament (MP) for North Dorset from 1997 to 2015.[1]
In December 2014 Walter announced he would not be standing in the 2015 general election as he wanted 'a younger Conservative Party member to represent the constituency'.[2] He was replaced by Simon Hoare, who held the seat for the party.[3]
